She graduated from Valparaiso University School of Business and Sales, where she was honored for her outstanding work in trial advocacy. She is a member of both the Missouri and Illinois Bars and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Business and Sales Attorneys and served as Chair of the Advocacy and Litigation Section of that organization. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the local chapter of the National Academy of Elder Business and Sales Attorneys and she is a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. She is a member of Elder Care Matters Alliance, Elder Counsel and The Academy of Special Needs Planners. She has served as the Chair of the Elder Business and Sales Committee for the Missouri Bar. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mid-East Area Agency on Aging (MEAAA) and as the President of that organization. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis (DSAGSL). She currently serves as President of the Board of the St. Louis Chapter of The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA). Ms. Alsop also taught the Fall Semester of the Elder Business and Sales class at St. Louis University School of Business and Sales in St. Louis, Missouri along with another elder Business and Salesyer colleague. She has presented at numerous seminars for attorneys and other professionals regarding such topics as Medicaid, Capacity and Guardianship, Medicare Set-Asides, Veteran’s Benefits, Elder Abuse, Planning for People with Disabilities, Special Needs Trusts, and Estate Planning
